Pomegranate molasses (or grenadine molasses): comes from the fruit of the pomegranate, or more exactly from pomegranate juice (100%). It has a tangy flavor. This juice is reduced by cooking it over low heat until it forms a syrup. It is a key ingredient in oriental cuisine (Lebanese, Syrian ..) With its sweet and sour flavor, pomegranate molasses goes well with many foods, from poultry and fish, to salads, tabbouleh and eggplant dips. It can be used as a marinade, to lacquer duck breasts or to flavor vinaigrettes.
